PLANNING
The price of a design or a master-plan consultation is worth it to anyone who has tried to save a few bucks piece-mealing a landscape together. To paraphrase the great garden designer, James Van Sweden, a collection of plants is just that – a collection; It is as much a garden as a collection of brick, block, and wood is a home. More than just helping decide which plants to put where, a consultation or full design will address issues of visual and pedestrian flow, tying the different areas of the landscape together, and it will attempt to pull the inside of your home out, and the outside in.
Landscapes represent a significant investment of time and money, and we’re often asked to do things in phases. Phasing in a landscape the right way will invariably save time, money, and messy complications, and is a valuable and desired result of a good design.
