WHAT WE DON'T DO

Lawns.
We don’t mow or fertilize lawns. We’d only use organic lawn fertilizers, and Good Nature Organic Lawn Care is already way ahead of us on that. While we may integrate small patches or walkways of grass as useable and necessary elements in a landscape, we do not install huge lawns.

Irrigation.
While a good irrigation system can save you some time watering your plants in the first year of your landscape, it can also be a huge expense. Only during very hot and dry periods should an established landscape need additional watering after the first year, so weigh the cost of an irrigation system versus the time it will take to drag a hose out a couple of times a year.

Quick fixes and Dwarf Alberta Spruces.
Sure, I’ve used Alberta Spruces in some of my designs – I’m not SUCH a landscape snob that I’d completely rule out individual plants, but they seem to be the main entryway focal points in far too many suburban foundation installations. The point is, we do our best to stay creative. If you want to keep up with the Joneses’ and their landscapes…you can still pay us to do that!
